In fact, the presence of bamboo chutes and mushrooms made it seem more like a Chinese stir fry than a Thai dish, except with a ton of red chilis thrown in for heat. Nor did it have many of the common ingredients, such as basil leaves. Furthermore, the stir fry did not taste like phad kee mao or even its tamer cousin phad see ew. First, our Phad Kee Mao (aka “Drunken Noodles”) had no noodles! This is supposed to be a noodle dish but was actually just a stir fry that they gave us white rice with. Maybe there are ingredient shortages due to the COVID pandemic, but if so perhaps that should be reflected in the menu. This takeout order tasted like it came from a completely different kitchen. We’ve eaten at the restaurant once prior and it was fairly good. Note, however, that our complaint is unrelated to the delivery service or order accuracy: the food itself was the problem.
